Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery

This subspecialty deals predominantly with ophthalmic cosmetic procedures, such as blepharoplasty and ptosis surgery (repair of baggy or droopy eyelids), special eyelid problems in patients with Graves' disease, laser skin resurfacing, as well as excision of orbital tumors and repair of orbital trauma. It also deals with the tear duct or lacrimal system with specific surgeries for chronic tearing or infections of the lacrimal drainage system.
